This Privacy Policy describes how Promptfy ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the Promptfy app and related backend services. The data controller is [Legal entity name, address]. For any privacy request, contact support@promptfy.com.
Promptfy creates an anonymous account automatically the first time you open the app, identified by a persistent device identifier stored on your device. This lets you use the app and sync your content without signing in. You may optionally use Sign in with Apple to link this account to your Apple ID so your data can be restored on another device. We store the Apple identifier associated with your account, and your email only if you choose to share it.
Unlike earlier versions, Promptfy 2.0 syncs your content to our cloud backend so it is available across your devices. This includes:
We collect device details, app version, timestamps, feature usage, and crash/diagnostic data to operate and improve the Service.
When you purchase a subscription (Starter, Pro, or Studio — monthly or annual — or the legacy Pro plan) or a credit pack, we record the product identifier, transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal/expiration, and credit balance provided by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
With your permission, we store push notification tokens to send you notifications (e.g., job completion, subscription and migration reminders). You can disable notifications in your device settings.
We use the following providers, which may process your data on our behalf:
[Confirm and complete this list, including each provider's role and location, with counsel.]
For advertising, we may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not grant permission, we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising; ads may still be shown in a non-personalized form. [Confirm your actual ad/tracking configuration and update the app's Privacy Manifest accordingly.]
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete account). Some records required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or audit purposes may be retained for [retention period] as permitted by law. Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription — manage that in your Apple ID settings.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards where required.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data, and to object or withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this Policy and will notify you of significant changes.
